When compared to the same period previous year, Rice exports from the country increased by 17.21% over the first ten months of this fiscal year.
According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics statistics, from July to April 2021-22, 4,044,269 metric tonnes of rice worth $2.051 billion were exported, compared to 3.190,559 metric tonnes worth $1.750 billion during the same time previous year.
Meanwhile, basmati rice exports from the nation increased by 22.12 percent and other rice exports increased by 15.44 percent over the same time last year, with 532,407 metric tonnes of basmati rice worth 574.220 million shipped compared to 508,691 metric tonnes for $470.195 million.
