(Web Desk) – On Friday, a gas explosion at Lasbela Chowk in Karachi wounded nine people and destroyed many stores.

The event occurred on a sewer near where the stores were constructed. The explosion was confirmed by officials and eyewitnesses.

Residents in an adjacent building were evacuated as a result of the incident.

According to Rescue 1122 personnel, the explosion was triggered by an accumulation of gas in the region, which prompted objects from the stores to fall down the drain.

Lasbela Chowk is an important roundabout that links the city’s historic and modern areas. The bomb location is adjacent to the Edhi Foundation’s headquarters.

A big number of emergency workers came quickly to the tragedy and transported the injured to the hospital.
