A four-member female gang known for preying on female commuters in the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has been captured by the Peshawar police, marking a significant victory.
On Tuesday, the arrests were made public, putting light on a wave of thefts of cash, jewelry, and cell phones.
Two of the gang members who were arrested were from Rawalpindi, according to the authorities, while the other two lived in Peshawar’s Imamia Colony Gulbahar.
When a woman complained that her cell phone had been stolen while she was using the BRT system, the inquiry was started. In response, the police launched a thorough investigation using CCTV video from numerous BRT routes.

Together with female cops, the police were able to catch all four of the offenders.
