The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has continued the borderline for filing Sales Tax and Federal Excise allotment for February 2025, ambience the new due date as March 27, 2025.

In an official notification issued on Tuesday, the tax ascendancy instructed Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue beyond Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayer Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to ensure acquiescence with the revised timeline.

The addendum has been accepted beneath Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005. Previously, the borderline was March 18, 2025. The move is accepted to accommodate abatement to taxpayers, alms them added time to accommodated their obligations.

Tax experts agenda that such extensions are about accepted in acknowledgment to requests from businesses adverse abstruse or procedural delays. The FBR has apprenticed taxpayers to accommodated the new borderline to abstain penalties and ensure bland processing of their returns.
