According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the price of a 20 kg flour bag has risen to Rs. 720 in one week.
Residents in Slamabad have been impacted the worst by the flour price hike, and are now obliged to purchase the most costly flour in the country.
The price of a 20 kg bag of flour in Islamabad was Rs. 1,520, Rs. 706 in Rawalpindi, Rs. 600 in Faisalabad, Rs. 590 in Peshawar, and Rs. 500 in Sargodha, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). Multan charges Rs. 530, Lahore and Bannu Rs. 520, and Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Bahawalpur Rs. 500.

Its price also increased by Rs. 40 in Hyderabad and by Rs. 20 in Quetta in one week.

Pakistan is seeing an increase in inflation, which was at 13.4 percent in April.

Furthermore, the federal Cabinet recently adopted a subsidy programme to keep the price of a 20 kg bag of flour at utility shops at Rs. 800, as chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
