ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday to take control of the Navy Golf Course.

During the hearing of a case involving illegal constructions on Margalla Hills National Park land, the court ordered that all restaurants in the park be closed

The IHC also declared illegal the occupation of Military Directorate Farms on eight acres of park land.

The court also stated that the land should be considered to be under the ownership of the national park.

Earlier, Additional Attorney-General (AG) Qasim Wadood informed the bench that a committee comprised of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the chairman of the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board conducted a park survey.
