ISLAMABAD: According to official sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Gwadar on Monday for a one-day visit to examine different development projects in the city.

During his visit to the city, the premier will be accompanied by federal ministers and is scheduled to witness the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for a 1.2 billion gallon water supply project and a desalination facility.
According to reports, the prime minister will also supervise the signing of a grant deal with China for a solar generator in South Balochistan.
In May, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stated that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was Pakistan’s top priority, and that the country was committed to expeditiously completing its projects, which would provide tremendous opportunities for increased economic growth and development in the region and beyond.
According to the PM’s Office, the prime made the remarks at a meeting in Islamabad with China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong.
The discussion focused on Pakistan-China bilateral relations, particularly the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties, vaccination cooperation, and high-level bilateral interactions.
“The CPEC, as one of the Belt and Road Initiative’s (BRI) pioneering projects, has achieved significant and significant development in infrastructure, energy, ports, and industrial parks,” stated Prime Minister Khan.
According to the Chinese ambassador, Beijing wants to cooperate with Pakistan to strengthen the CPEC’s quality of development and expand it to neighbouring nations, increase people’s well-being, and play a larger role in regional connectivity and economic integration.
