Former foreign minister and vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi, was detained at his apartment in Islamabad.
Sources claim that PTI deputy chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was detained in connection with the Cypher case and taken to the FIA’s main office.
The PTI leader denied speculations of disagreements in the core committee during a news conference earlier today, claiming that a media organization was spreading false information about the committee.
He claimed that although the PTI chairman has not been replaced, he would soon be let out of custody.
The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Counter Terrorism in the cypher case had already called PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former federal minister Asad Umar.
